Organizations pay an annual subscription fee for full access to the CraftPro library of self-paced, mobile-friendly training courses across a range of crafts. CraftPro subscribers can then create personalized learning paths for any of their employees by choosing just the courses they need from the online library and then assigning that plan to learners. Learners have unlimited access to all courses in any assigned learning path. Active subscribers can create as many different learning paths as they like and can assign as many learners as they want. Organizations get full access to CraftPros’s library of self-paced, mobile-friendly training courses across a range of crafts. Crafts currently include electrical, pipefitting, drywall, concrete, construction fundamentals and general carpentry, with more courses and crafts currently under development.
Each CraftPro course focuses on a specific topic area and includes multiple instructional videos, interactive activities and readings to cover key concepts. To confirm knowledge retention, courses culminate in a course test, monitored via automated remote proctoring.
CraftPro courses are designed to be thorough and self-contained, helping reduce the need for additional classroom time or facilitated instruction. However, the courses can also be used within a broader training program.
A learning path is the combination of courses the administrator chooses for an individual or team. You as a CraftPro administrator can select individual courses in a single craft or across multiple crafts to create unlimited learning paths for your organization. Learning paths give you great flexibility to provide targeted training in a number of scenarios. For example, you can create a learning path for new hires, to upskill your current workforce or even to prepare a crew for a specific new project or task.
Course length varies depending on the topic and the amount of material covered. As a CraftPro administrator, you’ll see the estimated hours for each course while building a learning path. The system also adds up the total time as you go, so you’ll always have a clear view of how long each course is and the full length of the learning path you’re creating.
Courses culminate in a course test, monitored via automated remote proctoring. This means that for the final course knowledge test, the learner will be recorded taking the test and will need to show proof of their identity. Upon completion of the knowledge test, a training recommendation, if needed, is created so you know exactly what training your learner still needs to work on to become proficient.
Many courses also include one or more hands-on performance tasks to validate skill attainment. Your organization assigns a person on your staff (e.g., could be a foreman or crew leader) who serves as the jobsite evaluator and logs the proof of task capability. This is easily done on their phone.
do they get?
When a learner completes the courses in their personalized learning path, the organization’s administrator can choose to issue an employer-specific credential. This credential will feature the company’s logo and the learning path name on the badge, which learners can view via the mobile app. Additionally, the employer credential is connected to the learner for life and displayed on the NCCER Verify Credentials page.
The CraftPro Admin Portal provides admins with visibility into learner progress. Admins can view this progress by learning path, course and learner, giving them the tools they need to monitor progress and intervene with learners as desired.
